AI Create ⇒ Word Limit, Content Type, Topic, and Teaching Points
When you select Create, a screen will appear prompting you to fill in four fields: Word Limit, Content Type, Topic, and Teaching Points.
Word Limit
We provide a suggested word limit, which is optimized for the level of the students to absorb effectively.
- In the Word Limit dropdown, you can select the desired number of words.
- The maximum word limit we offer is 800 words.
Content Type
From the dropdown menu, you can generate different types of content, including:
- Dialogue, Article, Story, Announcement, Script, Speech, and Debate.
Topic
Write the topic you want in the language your students are learning (Traditional Chinese or Simplified Chinese).
Feel free to get creative and think about what your students are interested in, or topics you’d like to introduce. Examples include:
- The Olympics, Celebrities, Movies, Issues, Current Events, Business Conversations, Asking for Directions, or Ordering Food—anything works!
Teaching Points
Refer to your teaching materials and write down the vocabulary and grammar points you want to teach.
For example:
- Content Type: If you choose Dialogue from the dropdown.
- Topic: Write “Buying an international phone card.”
- Teaching Points: Include grammar like V了, 一…就…, 怎么办, and vocabulary like 出国 and 开通.
In this example:
- Content Type ⇒ Dialogue
- Teaching Points ⇒ Vocabulary: 出国, 开通; Grammar: V了, 一…就…, 怎么办
- Topic ⇒ Buying an international phone card
💡 Note: We currently do not accept grammar input in purely symbolic form (e.g., S+V+O).
💡 Mixed symbolic and grammatical inputs (e.g., V起来, VV看, A不A) are accepted.
Step 3: Edit
Once the article is generated, you’ll see the following:
- Project Name: Automatically includes the topic you put in.
- Result: Contains the generated text.
Here, you can edit both the Project Name and the Result.
Step 4: Confirm Teaching Points
In this step, the AI will segment the generated text into words.
- Selecting Words: Click on a word to highlight it, and all instances of the same word will turn pink, indicating they’ve been selected.
- To deselect a word, simply click it again.
💡 If the word segmentation is incorrect, or if you want to add a specific grammar pattern (e.g., VV看, V起来, A不A), you can enter it into the search box at the bottom-left corner.
- Enter one teaching point at a time in the search box, click +, and ensure it appears in the “waiting area” before proceeding.
Analyze
Once you’ve selected the teaching points, click Analyze in the bottom-right corner. The AI will generate teaching points, example sentences, and explanations for you.
💡 Please Note: To ensure smooth operation, the system limits you to 20 teaching points per project. If you can’t select more teaching points, you’ve likely reached the limit.
Modify Teaching Points
Once selected, your teaching points will appear as individual vocabulary cards. If there are parts you’re not satisfied with:
- Manual adjustments are required.
- For quick pinyin and translation, tools like ChatGPT or Google Translate can help.
💡 Remember: After making changes, click save vocab at the bottom to save your work. Otherwise, the generated materials and activities will follow the original content.
Export
When you’re done, click Export, and you’ll see a message:
Generating Links… Please visit the project page later.
Retrieve Materials
Now, go to the Projects List to check your materials.
- Refresh the page. If the export isn’t ready yet, you’ll see “Exporting.” Be patient and refresh again later.
- Once complete, you’ll see Exporting Success and a link to your materials folder.
Congratulations! 🎉 You’re all set!
